What is Chatham County Together?
Chatham Together offers the following services for the community:
Plain Talk (Hablando Claro) fosters and increases adult/teen communications about sex and provides teens with information about the reproductive health services that are available in their communities. Plain Talk is About Responsibility. The Program is about teens behaving responsibly and about the responsibility adults have to make sure teens in their communities have the information and the tools they need to avoid pregnancies and STD’s.
Neighbor to Neighbor (Vecino a Vecino) where a member in the community is asked to host a home health party in their home or Chatham Together office. Meetings are usually 2 hours long and participants can be between the ages of 14 and 99.
Teen Pregnancy Prevention ensures that young people have the right tools to make healthy, responsible decisions is an investment in the future. Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Programs (APPP) across North Carolina provide essential education, support academic achievement, encourage parent/teen communication, promote responsible citizenship, and build self confidence among their participants.
