ESL Computer Literacy @ Olympic Steel
Students at Olympic Steel have been attending an ESL Computer Literacy class with Ruth Castillo.
Students opened new email accounts and sent emails to each other. Below is an email I received from Juan Morales. What a joy! 🙂

I‘m from, Guatemala.
I have many year living in Siler City , N.C, I like the futbol (soccer), I have been practicing this, for long time in my early years, now just watch the games on TV .,
I have a great family, we like travel to landscape, for explorer the nature places and know about the forest, and fauna in North Carolina.
Actually I work for Olympic Steel, from two years to go, and enjoy every day share with my bodies in the job.

A Fun Trip
Last summer I went to a water park and it was very fun because I was excited. I liked playing with my daughter in the water. I will go next year to the zoo. I want to see the animals.

Last summer I went to the pool with my family and neighbors. We had fun. We spoke at the pool and were exited.

Last summer I went to my sister’s house for two weeks. I was very happy because she bought me a dress. When I came back to my house I thought about my sister. She is very good. I love my sister and niece. Maybe next year I will go to the beach. My husband needs a vacation at the beach. My children are very happy because they like to go to the beach to play.

My summer day with my family
Last summer I went to a farm with my family. When we arrived we saw a lot trees covered with apples. The children were excited. We walked inside the store. We asked a farmer how much a basket was. He said the basket cost $ 32. I thought it was expensive. But my children ran at the trees. They were excited to cut apples, and grapes, and peaches.

A Fun Time
I was very happy when in school I hid with my girlfriends in the bathroom and our teacher was angry. I remember how she tried to find us but she couldn`t.
I remember that we could see through the window and how she ran through all school and we laughed because we didn’t want to be in her math class.

MY DAY AT THE FAIR
I went to the fair with my husband.
We got into some rides. After we ate hot dogs we walked to see all the games and talked to each other.
He won a stuffed animal for me in a shooting game.
That day brings back good memories. It was nice to share with my husband.
