Journal Entries about The First Day of Class

Students in Julia’s class wrote wonderful paragraphs about their first day of class. You can do the same by answering the following questions:

Paragraph 1:

What did you think about your first day of English class?

What assignment did your teacher give you?

How did you feel about that?

Paragraph 2:

What was the first assignment?

How did you feel about it?

Would you like to this assignment again in the future?

REMEMBER to answer the questions one next to another to have a nice and complete paragraph

My first day of English class was interesting because my teacher was about 80 years old. For me, it was very exciting, because i had never had a teacher that age. I remember she asked me, ” do you know a little English?” and I said , ” A little bit.” But I felt very good, she was a great teacher

My first assignment was to learn the alphabet, colors and numbers, after that I had to memorized the irregulars verbs end for me was very hard until today.but is very important to learn English i n this country, for that reason I,m was to coming to learn English each time I can. ” I like to learn each word in English,” and I want to do this for long time until better my English.       The first day in my class was very exciting. My first assignment was reading a book. I felt very good.

My second assignment was very difficult because I never saw that. Then I felt very good because I passed the test. I would do that assignment again when I come to class.  Leobardo

Laverne (Liz Torres) helps a coworker figure out the percentage deducted from her paycheck for taxes. You can even access this same video in Spanish!

Weekend Plans

Think about your weekend plans with your family or friends. The following questions will help you write your paragraph.

1 Where are you going to go on Saturday? 2 Who are you going to go with? 3 What are you going to do? 4 Where are you going to go on Sunday? 5 What are you going to do?

Example: On Saturday, I’m going to run 8 miles with my training group. After that, I’m going to get a big breakfast and relax for a few hours. On Sunday, I am going to go to the pool with my family. We are going to swim and sunbathe.
