The Day of The Books

Special thanks to our volunteers at The Day of The Books celebration on April 28th.

Instructor Carolyn Ashford-Works, Rosa  and her kids Salvador, Evelin, and Yaninsa volunteered at our CCCC booth. They gave out fliers with information on our ESL classes and also read books to the children. Way to go Carolyn’s class!!

Why do we celebrate Earth day around the world?

According to earthday.org, “April 22 marks the anniversary of what many consider the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.”

Even though we have a celebration once a year, our commitment to take care of our planet should be daily.
