Siler City Christmas Parade

Celebrate the Holiday in downtown Siler City!

The Christmas Parade will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 6. Try to be there by 6:15 to find a place and enjoy “The Wonder of Christmas Morning”.

 

Parade route: down S. Chatham, right onto Beaver Street to S. Birch Street, left onto W. Raleigh Street to Park Shopping Center (Maxway).

PRE POSADA EVENT

Plain talk will organize a Pre Posada event on Friday, December 14th from 4:30 to 8:00pm at the Jordan Matthews high school on  910 East Cardinal St. Siler City.

There will be music, food, a raffle, and piñatas.

Santa will have gifts for all the children that take a photo with him!

Plates $6. ( Chicken, Rice, Beans and Tortillas.)       Raffle Tickets $1.    Photos $5

I asked my students the following questions:

What kinds of questions does an employer ask at an interview?

What kind of questions can you ask the employer?

What are the do’s and do not’s at a job interview?

This is what they replied:

Possible questions and employer may ask you:

  • Where did you work before?

  • Do you have experience about this job?

  • Have you ever worked with us?

  • Do you have transportation?

Questions you may ask:

  • What is the schedule like?

  • What kind of benefits do you have?

  • What is the pay rate?

  • Do you offer any kind of training?

JOB INTERVIEW DO’S AND DO NOT’S

  • Arrive a few minutes earlier

  • Dress appropriately

  • Bring your resume

  • Look confident

  • Don’t chew gum

  • Don’t look nervous

  • Don’t bring any children to the interview
