Arrivederci Carlos!

Ms. Carol organized a farewell party for our student Carlos who is leaving for Rome. Carlos has been a wonderful student and he has made a lot of progress in his English. His classmates and teacher will miss him VERY much. Buon Viaggio!!

2nd Annual Latino 3rd Friday Event in Siler City

What: Second Annual Latino Festival at Third Friday Artwalk
When: Friday, August 16 2013 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Where: Downtown Siler City- Corner of Second St. and Chatham Ave. Siler City, NC 27344

Magetsi 4H “Club de Danza Folklorica Latina” will entertain the audience with a guitar concert. A variety of talented Latino artists from the local area and the region will exhibit their work in the NC Arts Incubator galleries. Additionally, there will be food and beverage vendors, including traditional Hispanic food, on West Second Street which will be closed for the event. 

Language Exchange

ESL students and Spanish Immersion Class students participated in a language exchange exercise. Students took turns to speak in Spanish and in English. What a great way to practice both languages!
I want to thank the Spanish immersion teachers who made this possible. Thank you Stephanie, Audrey, and Sandy! 🙂

We Care

CCCC participated in The We Care Event on August 3rd. Many Organizations in Chatham county shared information about their services. The First United Methodist Church in Siler City donated school supplies and hosted the event.
